Shazia Choudhry

As the Head of Post 16, I bring 10 years of experience in education, including three years dedicated to leading our Post 16 department. My career began with two years of teaching in England, where I developed a solid foundation in educational practices before moving to the UAE. This international experience has enriched my perspective, allowing me to blend different educational approaches and create a dynamic learning environment for our students.

In my role, I am deeply committed to fostering a supportive and stimulating atmosphere where students are encouraged to reach their full potential. I believe that education is not just about achieving academic excellence, but also about developing the whole person. Therefore, I place a strong emphasis on critical thinking, creativity, and leadership, ensuring that our students are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of the modern world.

I set high expectations for both students and staff, as I believe that with the right support and guidance, everyone can achieve greatness. My approach is centered on nurturing a culture of excellence, where every student is challenged to push their boundaries while also receiving the personalised support they need to succeed.

My vision for our Post 16 department is to create a learning environment where students not only achieve their academic goals but also grow into confident, capable individuals ready to make meaningful contributions to society. I am passionate about equipping our students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in their future endeavors, whether that be in higher education, the workforce, or other life pursuits.
