Kifaya Khan

Kifaya Khan is a qualified British Headteacher with 20 years of experience in education.

Kifaya hails from East London and was schooled at Ilford County High Grammar School for Boys. He initially graduated in Computer Engineering from Queen Mary’s, University of London, and then also read a second bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

After serving as both a teacher and leader in England, he moved to the Middle East to join Nord Anglia Education in a variety of successful school improvement roles. His first appointment as Principal was at the early age of 32, and has since served as Principal of two further schools covering both primary and secondary settings.

Kifaya is a trained assessor and facilitator in the suite of National Professional Qualifications by the Department of Education, UK, having previously achieved the NPQH through the Institute of Education, London. He is also a trained inspector in the British Schools Overseas (BSO) and AdvancED frameworks.

Reflecting on his career success so far, Kifaya strongly believes in the importance of practical, sustained and authentic strategies for school improvement. His favourite sources of inspiration include educators such as Sir Tim Brighouse, Todd Whitaker and Michael Fullan.

In his spare time, Kifaya enjoys dipping into his prized library collection, sweating it out in a solid fitness session or watching the mighty Liverpool FC.
