ASPS Student Council
The ASPS Student Council is a group of students that are elected as leaders by their peers. They represent the entire student body both inside and outside the school and act as the student voice. They also act as role models for all students and help organise and carry out events.

These students will be the role models for all students at ASPS. They will promote the student voice on various platforms, represent the students and the school during formal events. The students leadership will also be responsible in planning, organising, and carrying out activities focused on improving student wellbeing. They will also be responsible for chairing the student council meetings and oversee matters related to the whole school.
The Head of Students’ leadership responsibility involves voicing the student perspective to the Senior Leadership Team and representing the student body on the Governor Advisory Board.
ASPS House System (House Colours)
Students from Year 3 above are divided into houses. Each House is a team that works together to collect points. Students earn points for their houses for positive behaviour, participation in events and activities, special accomplishments and more. Since each house includes students from Year 3 to 7, the house system is giving students the opportunity to work together, creating a cohesive environment and ensuring that age is not a barrier to friendship and collaboration. This reflects the life that we are preparing our students for outside of ASPS, nowhere beyond the confines of a classroom will they be required to interact with those only of their own age.
The House Leaders act as point of contact for the students in their house. They are responsible for coordinating and organising house specific events and activities and encouraging students and staff participation.
The UAE Initiatives Student Committees were established to encourage students to take ownership of their school community as well as their country of residence, the UAE. The committees encourage students to assume or at least aspire to assume leadership roles in which they work towards becoming global citizens while staying connected to the heritage and ethos of the UAE.
Sustainability Committee
November is Sustainability month and our Green Buddies will be committed to finding creative ways for reducing our carbon footprint around the school and at home.
Innovation Committee
We are committed to initiating programmes where students can regularly display and develop their creativity inside and outside the classroom. Our Young Innovators will focus on activities that promote joy and ignite passion to turn good ideas into reality.
Happiness Committee
The Happiness Committee holds a special relevance for us as we further embed the culture of students and staff happiness in everything we do at ASPS. Our Happiness Team will ensure the school and wider community find something joyful to look forward to and stay motivated.
