School Transportation

• Our transport department manages the bus routes, timings and identification card issuance in order to ensure that our students arrive and disperse the school campus in a systematic manner.
• As per RTA regulations the bus driver cannot give out his mobile number. Calls should only be made to the bus attendant or the transport coordinator. “Missed calls” will not be entertained.
• Any changes in the route / timings/ bus number will be communicated by the school to the parents in advance.
• If the bus is running late, the Transport Department will send the notification to you through the SBAS app (or) parents can track the bus via the SBAS app.
• Exact time keeping cannot be guaranteed due to possible traffic congestion.

Parents:

• Parents are expected to cooperate in making the children aware about bus safety.
• In case of absence from school for whatever reason, the transport coordinator / bus attendant must be notified in advance by the Parent.
• Parents/caretakers must notify the coordinator and the bus attendant of any changes to their child’s usual schedules or their pick-up/drop-off arrangements.
• Changes in address and telephone numbers should be communicated to the school immediately.
• In case of  change of pick up / drop off address, the school will not be obliged to re-route the bus to the new address. Such a change would result in delay or non availability of the bus service at the new address.
• Parents/caretakers must ensure that their child is waiting at the pick-up point 5 minutes before the pick-up time, they must make appropriate arrangements for their child to be collected on time from the drop-off point in the afternoon.
• Parents will bear any expenses of damage repair to the bus or its interior including seats, seat belts etc. caused by the student.
• If any authorised person is not available at the drop off point, the student will be brought back to school. The Transportation coordinator will contact the parent and ask the parent to collect the student from the school.
• Parents must inform the school or the transport coordinator if they want to personally pick-up their child/children from the school:
  – For FS parents should inform the school on or before 12:00 pm
  – For Year 1 to 7 parents should inform the school on or before 1:00 pm

Students:

• Students should follow the code of conduct and the directions of the Bus attendant whilst on the school bus.
• Students are not allowed to eat or drink juice or other similar beverages on the bus, however they may drink water.
• Students should sit on the seat in which they have been assigned.
• Students should fasten their seat belts at all times.
• Students should present their Bus ID when boarding.

• A student or parent/caretaker does not comply with the policies and conditions of the transport department.
• The student does not obey the code of conduct for travel on school buses and/or behaves unacceptably.
• Circumstances exist which make it unsafe or impractical for the student to travel on the bus.
• The student is persistently disruptive to other passengers or to the bus driver or aide;
• The student behaves in a way that endangers the safety of other passengers or causes malicious damage;
• The parent/caretaker  regularly fails to deliver the student to, or collect the student from, the assigned transport point;
• The parent/caretaker repeatedly fails to advise the bus driver or helper when the student is not using the bus;
• Non-payment of due fees

1. Cancellation fee of AED 300 will be charged if a parent wishes to cancel  the bus service during the school academic year.
2. A parent requesting to change from 2 way service to 1 way will be charged AED 300 towards the cancellation / modification fees.
3. Our standard terms and conditions apply:- An administrative fee of AED 250 will be charged in the case of a cheque being returned by the bank for whatever reason.
   – A monthly charge will be applicable, if the transport is used for 1 day or more.
   – AED 50will be charged for lost or damaged Radio frequency ID(Students ID).
   – An administrative fee of AED 150 will be charged for retrieval / holding the cheques instead of depositing it to the bank.
   – Bus Fees should to be paid 15 Days before the start of each term.
   – 1st term fees should be paid before 15th August.
   -2nd term fees should be paid before 15th December
   -3rd term fees should be paid before 15th March
